The City of Friendswood is asking qualified firms to prepare Competitive Sealed Proposals for the Rehabilitation of Lift Station No. 2. The scope of work includes:
• Installation of new riser piping and valves, cleaning and re-coating of the wet well, replacement of two pumps and new pump bases, rails, and guides; and
• Structural improvements include a new roof for the wet well, pipe supports for riser and force main piping, a new crane for Pumps 1-4, and a new above-ground valve pad. Electrical improvements include new junction boxes for each pump, new HVAC system for electrical room, and rehabilitation of the existing power distribution.
PART III: PROJECT SCOPE
The Project include:
• Rehabilitation of the existing discharge header including extending the discharge piping to a proposed valve pad located approximately 21-feet away from the edge of the wet well and reconnecting to the existing 22” HDPE force main, and
• Rehabilitation of the existing electrical control system, including associated instrumentation for both primary and secondary backup control.
• Cleaning and re-coating of the wet well,
• Installation of new riser piping,
• Installation of new pump bases, rails, and guides,
• Installation of a new influent line diffuser plate,
• Structural improvements for the wet well roof and sealing of existing penetrations,
• Installation of a crane for Pumps 1– 4,
• Installation of new junction boxes,
• Installation of odor control treatment,
• Installation of new HVAC system,
• Rehabilitation of the existing power distribution, and
• Replacement of two new small pumps within the wet well.
