Out of more than 2,500 American cities that qualified for analysis, Chamber of Commerce.org has ranked Friendswood the nineteenth “Best City to Live in Texas.” It is the top Texas city with between 25,000-40,000 people. Chamber of Commerce.org evaluated five areas: employment (number of establishments, median earnings), housing (owner-occupied housing with a mortgage, monthly housing costs), quality of life (work commute, poverty levels), education (percentage with a bachelor’s degree or higher), and health (obesity ratios).
“Residents of Friendswood know this is a great place to live, work, and raise a family,” said Friendswood Mayor Mike Foreman. “It’s gratifying to see an outside organization look at the available data from across the country and rank Friendswood nineteenth in the state of Texas.”
Other nearby Top 20 in Texas Cities (of any size population) are Houston (2), Kingwood (12), and Missouri City (13).More: Home Space News
