Friendswood Library Gala: Through the Looking Glass

The Friendswood Public Library's biggest annual fundraiser will be hosted by the Friends of the Library on September 30, 2023. This year's gala theme was inspired by the classic fantasies, Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll.

Attendees will engage in an immersive experience at the library after dark and enjoy a live band, bid on fabulous auction items, and dine on delicious food by Buffalo Catering. Costumes and theme-based attire are encouraged.

Tickets to this one of a kind event are limited and can be purchased for $100 per person. Attendees must be 21 or older to attend. Click this link to purchase your tickets today!

The funds raised at this event will benefit the library's long term strategic plans. One of the initial plans is to develop and create a Makerspace-Technology Room that will house new technology resources including, but not limited to, a 3D printer, poster printer, vinyl design and cutting machine, and robotics and STEAM activity kits. The space and equipment will be used to provide hands-on training to children and adults along with a new group meeting area for local students, entrepreneurs, non-profits, and community members.
