August 7-14, 2023
Burglary
Aug. 12 (4:59 a.m.) A burglary was reported at the Bellevue at Clear Creek Apartments located at 17231 Blackhawk Blvd. A resident arrived home, found a broken window, and cash stolen from the apartment.
Fraud
Aug. 7 (10:17 a.m.) A Friendswood man’s estranged wife is accused of opening lines of credit and creating fake email accounts using his personal identifying information. According to the victim, the suspect has hacked and taken over his social media accounts and forged his signature on lease paperwork.
Aug. 7 (3:46 p.m.) A Friendswood man reported credit card abuse. An unauthorized transaction occurred at Walgreens located at 104 E. Parkwood Avenue. The victim lost his credit card on August 6th. The officer viewed surveillance video of the transaction and described the suspect as a heavy-set black male, wearing a black hat, black mask, grey shirt, and white tennis shoes. The suspect drove a tan truck. The stolen credit card was used to purchase a Vanilla VISA card.
Aug. 7 (4:05 p.m.) A Friendswood woman reported identity theft. She discovered loans were opened using her personal identifying information. Three attempt to open new lines of credit were completed with two of the attempts being successful.
Aug. 8 (9:37 a.m.) A Friendswood woman received a text from IKEA letting her know that her order was ready. She never placed an order with IKEA, so she called them and discovered that someone names Denise Jackson placed an order using her credit card information. The victim checked her credit card and found five fraudulent charges.
Aug. 14 (9:07 a.m.) A Friendswood woman’s identity was stolen and used to open a Venmo credit card account.
Arrests
Aug. 9
Julio Luis Phillip, 35, of Webster, was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
Aug. 11
Joseph Harrison Clark, 26, of Friendswood, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated – 2nd offense.
Aug. 12
Allison Elizabeth Collier, 39, of Houston, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated – 2nd offense.
Tandre Dementerio Garner, 20, of Galveston, was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in Penalty Group 2 and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon.
Aug. 13
Darwin Nunez Aguilar, 22, of Houston, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
