Movies in the Park: Dive-In Movie

It's time to have a Splashtastic time with Friendswood Parks & Recreation! Our Movie in the Park series ends this Friday, August 11th at the Stevenson Park pool for our Dive-In Movie featuring "Avatar The Way of Water" sponsored by HighPoint Church. Don’t forget to stop by the Parks & Rec table to snag yourself an “Avatar goodie bag” before the show! (Limited to the first 50 kids.) 

The FREE movie series is presented by the Friendswood Rotary Club and the City of Friendswood Parks and Recreation Department. The gates will open at 7pm, and the movie will start around dusk at 8:15PM at the Stevenson Park pool. Lawn chairs, blankets, food, and drinks are allowed to be brought in, but glass containers are not permitted in the park. The Lemonade Bar will be selling fresh-pressed juices, The Twisted Kow will sell ice cream creations, and Kc's Dawgs &Catering will sell hot DOGS for the show!

Dog Days of Summer - August 19

Time to get your pooches ready for a paddle with this year's Dog Days of Summer event. Drop the leashes and get your lifejackets ready to join us Saturday, August 19th from 10 am - 12 pm at the Friendswood City Pool.

Register your pup at the link, under the "Special Events" tab, $3 for residents and $5 for non-residents per pup. Space is limited.

Event Rules and Activities

• 1 human 18 years and older must accompany each dog. (Ex: 2 dogs equals 2 humans ages 18 and older.) 
• No humans are allowed in the water. 
• Dogs ONLY, no cats or other pets allowed!
• All humans are responsible for their dog's behavior & cleanups.
• All dogs must have current vaccinations to participate. *Rabies vaccinations will be verified on-site for entry.) 
• Max 75 dogs in the facility at a time. 
• Prizes for Best Costume and Coolest Tricks
• The first 50 dogs are guaranteed a Wag Bag
• Meet local sponsors, vendors, and furry friends
