Sergeant James Dement Memorial 

The Friendswood Police Department would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the Friendswood community. Your outpouring of love has been both comforting and encouraging. 

A memorial in honor of Sergeant James Dement has been set up next to City Hall, at 910 S. Friendswood Dr. The public can visit the memorial next to City Hall to pay their respects. A private service will be held on January 5, 2022, for family, close friends, and Friendswood Police personnel.
