Sergeant James Dement E.O.W 12/27/21

The Friendswood Police Department is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Sergeant James Dement, at the of age 57 on December 27, 2021, due to COVID-related illness. Sergeant Dement has touched many lives in the community throughout his over 22 years of service. Sergeant Dement joined the Friendswood Police Department on March 1,1999, as a Patrol Officer. During his years of service, he also held the positions of D.A.R.E Officer and Patrol Supervisor. His dedicated service will forever be remembered by the Friendswood Community and Friendswood Police Department.
 
The Friendswood City flag will fly at half-staff in memory of Sgt. Dement’s service. Please keep his family, friends, and the community in your thoughts prayers as we mourn his passing.
