Severe Weather Open House Event

Severe Weather Open House is Tomorrow at the Library

The City of Friendswood Office of Emergency Management will host a Severe Weather Open House at the Friendswood Public Library tomorrow, July 22nd from 5pm to 7pm. This come and go event will have safety and weather information available from various City Departments, utility providers, Texas Department of Insurance, Texas Wind Insurance Association and other local partners.

The Friendswood Fire Department, Police Department, and EMS will have emergency response equipment on display in the parking lot. Come see what equipment would be used during floods and other emergencies within the City.

The goal of this event is to provide an opportunity for residents to learn what local officials do during Severe Weather and what they can do to prepare for emergencies.

Movies in the Park this Friday

Join us for Movies in the Park on Friday, at the Newman Amphitheater in Centennial Park, 2200 S. Friendswood Dr. The Amphitheater opens at 7 p.m. and  movie begins around sunset. This week's movie is Despicable Me sponsored by Stanfield Properties. 

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, refreshments, and sit back and enjoy the movie. This free event is made possible by the Friendswood Rotary Club and the City of Friendswood Parks and Recreation Department.
