What is a Future Land Use Map?

The map is a part of the City's comprehensive plan. It provides guidance as to the land use type and location of future development. A FLUM depicts the types of future development using different colors for different types of development such as yellow for single-family, red for commercial, green for parks and blue for open space.

How can the community impact the proposed FLUM?

Part of the map update process is to obtain public input from residents, property owners, realtors, developers, builders and any other interested parties. Once all public comments are received, they will be reviewed and considered. Then any necessary amendments to the proposed map will be incorporated.
