Spring Sparkle is Saturday, April 10

Bring your tree limbs, grass clippings, wood, metal, appliances, and plastic to the Keep Friendswood Beautiful Spring Sparkle at Centennial Park, 2200 S. Friendswood Dr., on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is for Friendswood residents (bring ID).

No through traffic on Manison Parkway during Spring Sparkle

Manison Parkway will be closed to through traffic on Saturday, April 10 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Spring Sparkle in Centennial Park.

Concert in the Park schedule announced

Friday evenings in May and June in Stevenson Park, 1100 S. Friendswood Dr. will be filled with another season of Concerts in the Park.

Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, dinner or snacks.

Memorial Day Ceremony

The outdoor Ceremony will be held Monday, May 31 at 10 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial next to City Hall, 910 S. Friendswood Drive. Keynote speaker is Astronaut and Lt. Col. U.S. Marine Corps Nicole Mann. Bring your lawn chairs.

Remembering Jerry Ericsson

A bench donated in honor and memory of former City Council member Jerry Ericsson was dedicated recently. He served on Council for eight years, was an active Rotarian, and a decorated Army Veteran. Pictured are his immediate family.
