Hurricane Delta Update

According to the National Weather Service, Hurricane Delta is forecast to enter the Gulf of Mexico as a Category 4 hurricane. Landfall is expected in Louisiana but forecast updates have shown Delta to be tracking further to the west, towards Texas.
 
The Friendswood area now has an approximate 30 to 40 percent chance of receiving tropical storm force winds from Hurricane Delta. The most likely time of arrival for tropical storm force winds is Friday morning.
 
Friendswood residents are asked to keep an eye on local weather forecasts and ensure your emergency preparedness kit is ready. A track shift further to the west would bring more significant impacts to our area.
