Guidelines for Volunteer Committees, Boards & Commissions

It is the desire and intent of City Council to encourage and support citizen participation in an advisory capacity governing the affairs of the City. Service through membership on a committee, board or commission is a valued, important opportunity for participation in an advisory capacity.  To these ends, the City's policies and procedures set out the process by which citizens interested in serving are appointed to the City's various committees, boards and/or commissions.

Individuals interested in volunteering can submit an online Application to volunteer to the City Secretary Office for further processing.  For more information on the City's various committees, boards and/or commissions, please see the summaries and membership of each listed below, as well as access to the City's Volunteer Guidebook which serves as a guide for volunteer participation.
