The Galveston County Acquisition Guidelines for the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) acquisitions grant are available for public comment. This grant is to acquire flood prone properties at Frenchman’s Creek . A public comment period is open as of December 1st and will close on January 7th

This is a link to City of Friendswood Housing Guidelines for the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) acquisitions grant. This grant is to acquire flood prone properties at Frenchman’s Creek as well as on and near Deepwood Drive. A public comment period is open as of October 2, 2020 and will close at 5:00pm on November 2, 2020. Public Comments may be made in writing to 910 S. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX 77546 (Attn: Friendswood Office of Emergency Management) or via email: eoc@friendswood.com. Upon completion of the public comment period, Council will consider a resolution in support of these housing guidelines at the November 2, 2020 Council meeting. Note: The above acquisition guidelines relates to the City’s and Galveston County’s CDBG-DR acquisition program. Galveston County project covers the acquisition of three structures, 12 units, at Frenchman’s Creek while the City’s project covers acquisitions at Frenchman’s Creek and off of Deepwood Dr.
