The City of Friendswood shall hold joint elections with Harris County and Galveston County on May 4, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. in order for residents to vote in General and Special Elections for the purpose of electing a Mayor, and Councilmembers Position Nos. One (1) and Three (3) and for voting for or against Proposition A, which will be set forth substantially in the forms listed below:

The reauthorization of the local sales and use tax in the City of Friendswood, Texas at the rate of three-eighths (3/8) of one percent (1%) to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets. The tax expires on the fourth anniversary of the date of this election unless the imposition of the tax is reauthorized.

All election notices are posted to the City's website and notice boards at City Hall and all formal actions related to elections are conducted and posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
