NOTICE OF A SPECIAL AND REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION, TO BE HELD MONDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2016, BEGINNING AT 7 PM, IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS AND THE EXECUTIVE CONFERENCE ROOM (ENTER THROUGH THE CITY SECRETARY’S OFFICE) AT CITY HALL LOCATED AT 910 S. FRIENDSWOOD DRIVE, FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS

Joint Public Hearing (7pm in the Council Chambers)

1. Call to order

2. Receive comments from the public, both oral and written, regarding:

     a. Zone classification change from Single Family Residential (SFR) to Community Shopping Center (CSC) at 2907 W. Parkwood Ave., being 7.5765 acres of land, more or less, being a called 8.58 acre tract of land less those portions taken for FM 528 right-of-way by deed recorded in Volume 979, Page 3, Office of the County Clerk of Galveston County, Texas and by deed filed for record under Clerk’s File 8927433 of the Real Property Records of Galveston County, Texas, being a part of the B.S. & F. Survey Number 5, Abstract 625, Galveston County, Texas

    A. Approval of the minutes for the meetings held: 
        1) October 3, 2016 regular and special meeting 
        2) October 20, 2016 regular meeting

4. Consideration and possible action regarding a zone classification change from Single Family Residential (SFR) to Community Shopping Center (CSC) at 2907 W. 6. Discussion regarding Subcommittees for sidewalks, fences/wall/hedges and other aesthetic topics to be researched

7. Consideration and possible action regarding future Planning and Zoning Commission meeting dates

All meetings of the Planning & Zoning Commission are open to the public, except when there is a necessity to meet in an Executive Session (closed to the public) under the provisions of Section 551, Texas Government Code. The Planning & Zoning Commission reserves the right to convene into Executive Session to hear any of the above described agenda items that qualifies for an executive session by publicly announcing the applicable section number of the Open Meetings Act.
