NOTICE TO BIDDERS
CITY OF FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS
BID NO. 2012-07
2012-2013 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
Bids shall be submitted in duplicate and in sealed envelopes clearly marked with Bid No. 2012-07, and addressed to the City of Friendswood, Attn: Melinda Welsh, City Secretary, and will be received at Friendswood City Hall, 910 S. Friendswood Dr., Friendswood, TX, 77546 until 2:00 pm, Tuesday December 4, 2012, and at that time publicly opened and read.
All bids shall be accompanied by a cashier’s check upon a national or state bank in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount payable to the owner, or a bid bond in the same amount from a surety company authorized to do business in Texas as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute bonds within fifteen (15) days after notice of award. The City of Friendswood reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in bids received. The City of Friendswood pays for goods and services according to the provisions of Chapter 2251 of the Government Code.
Plans, specifications and bid documents are available for review/inspection during regular business hours either at the City Secretary’s Office, City Hall, 910 South Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, TX, Public Works Department, 1306 Deepwood Drive, Friendswood, TX, Associated General Contractors, 2400 Augusta St., Ste. 180, Houston, TX 77057, AMTEK, 4001 Sherwood Ln., Houston, TX 77092, F.W. Dodge, 10606 Hempstead Rd. Suite 110, Houston, TX 77092, or Reed Construction Data, 10900 Northwest Freeway, Suite 124, Houston, TX 77092.
A Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at 2:00 pm in the Public Works Department Conference Room, 1306 Deepwood Dr., Friendswood, TX.
