"VOLUNTEERS WANTED"
The volunteers play a key role in keeping the City government close to the people it serves and provides ideas, feedback and suggestions and may serve as a sounding board for proposed policy. The City of Friendswood City Council depends on the input from residents serving on Boards, Commissions and Committees. These Boards, Commissions and Committees advise the City Council, City Manager and City Staff.
Appointments are made bi-annually and as vacancies occur. Most terms are for 3 years. Applications are being accepted for the following Volunteer Commissions, Boards and Committees:
- Fourth of July Steering Committee
- Investment Committee
- Keep Friendswood Beautiful
- Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
- Senior Citizen Advisory Committee
If you are interested in serving on any of these Commissions, Boards or Committees please feel free to print and complete a Volunteer Application from our web site at http://www.ci.friendswood.tx.us/Volunteer-Information/ or you may pick one up from the City Secretary’s Office at Friendswood City Hall, 910 S. Friendswood Drive, Monday – Friday, during regular office hours. Questions may be directed to the City Secretary’s Office at 281-996-3270.
