NFL / PEPSI PUNT, PASS & KICK
Young Houston Texans football fans will have the opportunity to exhibit their football skills this September at Centennial Park. Participants will compete for distance / accuracy in punting, passing and kicking. Ribbons will be given to the top three finalists in each age group and certificates will be handed out to every participant. Winners in each category will advance to the Gulf Coast Sectional Competition. Come out early and practice, we will have Gatorade and good music! Plus free t-shirts will be given out to the first 20 contestants. Hope to see ya there!!!

Aquafina Pitch, Hit & Run
Intended to encourage youth participation and emphasize the "FUN" element of baseball competition. Participants will compete in three important aspects of baseball: batting, pitching and base running.

SUMMER DAY CAMP 2010
This camp offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, including arts and crafts, nature studies, scavenger hunts, swimming, sports, etc. Every Friday of each session is Field Trip Day!

Ages: 6 to 12 years of age
Day: Monday through Friday Time: 9:00am - 4:00pm
(Extended care is available for a nominal fee)

Dates: A session is two weeks
Session I: June 1 - June 11*
Session II: June 14 - June 25
Session III: June 28 - July 9*
Session IV: July 12 - July 23
Session V: July 26 - August 6

Fees: $150 (Resident)
$120 (each additional child, same household)
$160 (Non Resident)

*Session will be discounted due to holiday
A $50 fee (non-refundable) per session will hold a space open for your child. However, the space will be forfeited if balance for the session is not received by the deadline date.
- For an additional $30 per session, supervision before camp (7am - 9am) and after camp (4pm - 6pm) is available.
- Each individual camper will be limited to a maximum of 5 sessions.
- Copy of birth certificate, photo of child and health insurance card required at time of registration.
- Discount for half sessions will not be available.

PAY YOUR SUMMER CAMP BALANCE HERE
The City of Friendswood Community Services Department will be offering registration for our Summer Day Camp through a computerized lottery system. All Friendswood residents interested in registering their child/children for Summer Day Camp will need to come to the Community Services Department, which is located on the second floor in the City of Friendswood City Hall, 910 S. Friendswood Dr. Registration for the lottery system will take place between Monday, April 5 and Wednesday, April 28 during normal business hours. Proof of residency will be required at registration (valid Driver’s License or Friendswood Water Bill). Parents will be asked to fill out a lottery registration form detailing which sessions are being requested. Families will be notified by Friday, April 30, if they were able to secure a spot in the session(s) requested. Families chosen in the lottery will be required to pay, either deposits or full payments by 5 pm on Friday, May 7, or your space will be forfeited.

Beginning May 11, non-residents may register for any remaining openings or be put on the waiting list. For additional information, please call, 281-996-3220.
Swimming Lessons
All swimming lessons are conducted by YMCA staff members. Lessons are available throughout the summer season with a variety of class descriptions to choose from. This program is going into its ninth successful summer.

PRESCHOOL CLASSES: (6 months - 5 years)
- Skipper Babes - Ages 6 months - 36 months. Parent accompanies child for water adjustment activities.
- Pike - Beginners must be 3 by 6/16/10 and are first time swimmers/those fearful of water. They must be potty trained.
- Eel - Must be 3 by 6/16/10 and able to swim 5 ft. unassisted on front and back. They must be potty trained.
- Ray - Must be 3 by 6/16/10 and have a good over arm stroke, flutter kick and be able to swim 15 ft. unassisted. They must be potty trained.
SCHOOL AGE CLASSES (6-12 years):
- Polliwog - For beginner swimmer/those fearful of water.
- Guppy - Able to swim 20 ft. unassisted on front/back. Swimmers will learn multiple strokes.
- Minnow - Able to swim 25 ft. unassisted and have knowledge of multiple strokes.
- Fish - Able to swim 25 yards, using front crawl, rotary breathing and 25 yard backstroke.
- Flying Fish - Must be able to do 2 lengths of each: crawl, backstroke and breaststroke. Excellent stroke work for swim team participants.

KIDFISH EVENT
The KIDFISH Foundation will stock over 750lbs of adult fish in the Centennial Park Pond for participants to catch. There is no pre-registration required. Bait, tackle, and loaner rods will be provided to children who do not have their own equipment. You can pick up registration forms at your local schools, Friendswood Community Services Department, Friendswood Library, Friendswood Activity Building, Friendswood Chamber and on the day of the KIDFISH Event. KIDFISH is a non-profit outreach program designed to give children 16 and under the chance to experience the sport of fishing and the outdoors. All children will receive a goody bag, KIDFISH ribbon, and diploma. Longest fish winners first & second place in each age group will receive a large trophy.
