FM 518 Drainage Improvements to Begin Monday, March 1

The City's FM 518 Drainage Improvement project will begin on Monday, March 1st, 2010. This project is designed to improve drainage conditions in Friendswood's downtown area along FM 518. Weather Conditions permitting, this project is scheduled to last approximately 9 months. The contractor is scheduled to start at Stonesthrow Avenue and work their way towards FM 518. Information regarding construction areas associated with the project will be updated periodically. As a safety precaution for motorists driving through the City of Friendswood, information on this project shall also be on the City's information board at Stevenson Park, TxDOT's Transtar website, and the City's e-mail notification system. In addition, directly affected areas shall be notified by the City's telephone dialer system.
